This work was created by Moving Matter, a research team developing methodologies for collaborations between humans and more-than-humans. Each project includes artists across dance, wearable design, music, and film who devote themselves to modes of making that break habits of privileging human-centered design over the agency of raw matter and the wellbeing of the planet. Moving Matter is interested in finding creative pathways that learn from the choreographic intelligence of our earth’s shifting materials. The research has led to new choreographic approaches, wearable designs, dance films, installations, and performance works.
